Worthing AGM - The less serious awards!

After the more formal part of the evening we moved on to the less serious awards! Would Iain win the speedy Gonzales award for the second year, which habitual texter would win lines person of the year, which "strop" had been noticed and would be rewarded with strop monster of the year?

Most injured player of the year was fiercely contested this season, but Theresa walked off with the award and a fresh cabbage to aid her recovery!

Serial texters, food munchers and the easily distracted looked nervous until Dom picked up "Linesperson of the year".

The gone fishing award was awarded to Josh in his absence. Iain looked disappointed that the Speedy Gonzales award would be rested this year, but perked up when he picked up the inaugural "Basil Fawlty Officiating Award" (I am sure he will delight in explaining why)!

Strop of the year (just saying...) award went to Matt Lay (was it ever in any doubt!

Passionate Coach (Hair dryer treatment) award went to Micky. The Dale Carnegie "How to win friends and influence people" award went to Mark.

"Play of the Season" was awarded in recognition of the well rehearsed "shoulder pass, kick the ball and spike" move that was used to great affect against East Grinstead.

On a slightly more serious note Agata picked up the Commitment Award for her efforts supporting both the Devils and NVL team and Sintija picked up a "Leadership" award.
