About Us

Worthing Volleyball Club - A Club For All.
We currently have three men's teams, two ladies teams and for the first time this year have entered Volleyball Englands cup competition.  Two of our men's teams (Vipers & Sharks) compete in Div1 and our third men's team (Jets) play in Div2. Both ladies teams play in the same single Sussex Volleyball Association league with the Angels as our first team, the Demons as a very competitive second team but focused on developing young and new players.  We pride ourselves on catering for players of most ages and abilities. From juniors to "more seniors" and from very serious to "more social" we think this leads to a healthy mix of fun and competition (as well as a fair share of taking the mick!).

Training and Match Nights
The Club trains at Worthing High School, South Farm Road, on Tuesday nights, from 6.00pm for Ladies, with the addition of the Men at 7.30pm. Matches are largely played on Sunday evenings at the High School, but away match days vary. Although new players are welcome to the sessions and matches, it is advisable to get in touch first by contacting the Club Secretary, as we now have many players wanting to play each session.

How Much Does It Cost To Play?
We believe we are the best value Volleyball club in Sussex and £10- per month (£120- per year) for adults covers membership fees, Sussex Volleyball Association registration, Training and Match fees (yes it is unbelievable value!). You get the first week free and then all players must register with the club secretary and set up a standing order for the monthly fees. If selected to play for one of our teams you are expected to purchase a team shirt (£25-) and play in black shorts.

Juniors
The club has CRB cleared and EVA qualified coaches and have achieved Volleyball 123 Clubmark Volley 1 accreditation.

Volley 1: Volleyball England has worked with Sport England to integrate Volley 1 accreditation with the Sport England Clubmark scheme, the only national cross sports quality accreditation scheme for clubs with junior sections. It is built around a set of core criteria (Club Management, Playing Programme, Duty of Care and Knowing Your Club & its Community) to ensure that accredited clubs operate to a set of consistent, accepted and adopted minimum operating standards.
